Portarlington Rugby Football Club would like to extend a warm and sincere welcome to you to come and join our Club as a member. You may wish to play rugby, gents or ladies, and/or be involved in some of our sub committee activities or just get stuck into our social scene. Your choice but we really need you to get involved! Portarlington RFC is a thriving club that caters for youths, ladies and gents rugby. We offer to our members state of the art changing rooms, Club House/Bar facilities, comprehensive training grounds and dedicated coaches. Most of all we offer an opportunity to make good and lasting friendships where a sporting bond and willingness to get involved are common threads with our current members, irrespective of creed or nationality.
GENTS RUGBY
Portarlington RFC play hard competitive rugby. Our senior rugby caters for 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams. Our motto is individual incremental improvement to achieve a better team performance. Gents rugby at Port RFC caters for all shapes and sizes, skills level and experience – so long as you make the commitment.
LADIES RUGBY
The sheer growth and potential amongst our ladies rugby players and their “minders” is a fantastic recent development at Port RFC.
Girls get going and sample the full-on competitiveness on the pitch and the very demanding off field social scene!
YOUTHS RUGBY
Our youths are the Clubs’ pride and future. Age groups include U10’s, U12’s, U14’s, U16’s and U18’s. Each adult supervisor adheres to the Clubs code of high standards outlined in our Youth Policy in both their coaching and encouragement to players.
Enjoyment, self-discipline and competitiveness in that order are priorities with our youths.
SOCIAL SCENE
Our Saturday night disco is famous as the best night out in the midlands and we are open for business since 1996. What’s more, club members are entitled to half price admission. Our entertainments sub-committee invite lots more ideas to utilise our new Club House facilities in order to provide our members and guests the very best of entertainment
ULTRA MODERN CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES
In January 2006, our new changing rooms, showers and extended clubhouse and toilets were officially opened. It’s as good as it gets and we would love you to come and see for yourselves.
