Portarlington progressed to the final of the Provincial Town’s Plate with a narrow win over Clondalkin in an enthralling encounter in Edenderry last Saturday. Portarlington who came into the game eager for revenge after suffering heavy defeat to the same opponents in the Leinster League last December were made to fight all the way and needed a second half comeback to defeat a strong and committed Clondalkin side.
